Dr. SomanathVasudeva was instrumental in starting the department of Neurology at Apollo BGS Hospitals , Mysore in 2002. He is one of the leading experts in this part of the country in the field of Neurology. He has extensive experience in the management of various neurological problems including Stroke, Epilepsy, Demyelinating disorders, Neuromuscular disorders, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Dementias, Headache, Neck and Back pains. Dr. Somanath Vasudeva has got the unique distinction of having performed the first intravenous as well as intraarterial thrombolysis in stroke in Mysore and has got the maximum experience in thrombolysis in Mysore. He is also the first to use Botox in the treatment of Movement disorders and Spasticity in Mysore. Besides excellent academic qualifications he is also blessed with a pleasant disposition and an intense empathy for his patients. He is also an avid music lover having performed onstage.
